Latest Feature: Occupant with Special Needs Decal Program
Available to McDowell County Residents
The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with McDowell County Emergency Services, announces the launch of our new Occupant with Special Needs Decal Service for McDowell County residents.
These stickers, FREE of charge, are designed to help first responders better assist individuals with special needs during routine traffic stops, emergency situations, or other interactions. The decal serves as a visual alert to deputies, law enforcement officers, EMS, and fire personnel that an occupant may require additional understanding, communication support, or accommodation.
Decals may be displayed on vehicles or homes to provide important information during emergencies or unexpected interactions.
This service is available to McDowell County residents only.
Decals are available for pickup at the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.
